Memphis Web Design Reveal: Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County

By | December 08, 2016

We’re excited to share our latest website launch for the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County! The Humane Society wanted a new site that was more user-friendly, interactive and highlighted each of the furry animals waiting for their forever homes. The Humane Society enlisted S2N Design to create a fresh online experience that would speak to its audiences—both donors and animal lovers searching for their newest family member. S2N was challenged with the following goal:

Create a site that serves dual purposes—a donation platform as well as a place to highlight the animals in a unique, user-friendly way.

1. Develop a donation tool or platform that is easy to use and also protects donors’ security to increase donations to the Humane Society.

The donation platform needed to be simple, easy-to-navigate and most importantly, secure. To address the donation platform, S2N created a separate site which would mean the transactions were more secure and handled through a third party. Integrating with 4AGoodCause, a specialized online transaction tool for non-profit organizations, the Humane Society website redirects to a secure online portal where donations can be made.

2. Highlight the humane society animals in a unique, user-friendly way to increase adoptions.

The second main intention of the website was to highlight each of the Humane Society animals in fun ways. In order to capture each one’s personality, each pet has an online profile, and there is also a list of featured pets which also includes videos.

S2N incorporated videos, vibrant images and a simplistic design to enhanced the user experience for both potential adopters as well as donors.

We hope you’ll check out the new Humane Society website and consider adopting or donating to this wonderful organization this holiday season.
